Over 300 senior level real estate professionals attend Proptech Middle East

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31, 2018

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: PropTech Middle East, organized by global conference organizers, Expotrade Global came to a close yesterday. With over 300 attendees present across both days, the inaugural edition of the event witnessed the who’s who of the real estate sector in the region interact and network with industry peers to discuss and delve into the technological trends and developments influencing the growth of this sector.

Hend Al Marri, CEO, Dubai Real Estate Institute inaugurated the event in the presence of other VIPs, following which she delivered the opening remarks. Craig Plumb, Head of Research - Real Estate/Property, JLL presented on the UAE’s Property Market Overview, emphasizing upon the current market scenario and the housing market in particular.

Proptech guru James Dearsley’s presentation on the global trends in the proptech industry was very well received by the attendees. He shared crisp insights on how the UAE’s proptech market fares in comparison to the rest of the world. In his session, Faisal Ali, Group CIO, Gargash focused on the theme of the implementation of technology in the property sector and the impact of AR, VR and MR on enterprises.

Across two days, over 45 subject matter experts delivered presentations and participated in panel discussions as speakers and panelists. Ann Boothello, Director of Marketing, Dubizzle, Nebojša Zaklan, CCO & Company Partner, Case3D, and John Stevens, Managing Director, Asteco Property Management presented on topics titled AI - the new Electricity or not, the Future of House Hunting and Property Management 3.0 respectively.

The panel discussions on property marketing saw industry experts engage in discussion on how property marketing has evolved over the years, the different marketing techniques that play a pivotal role in garnering consumer interest, the challenges and upcoming marketing trends marketers in this industry foresee.

Across two days, the event covered seven panel discussions that focused upon topical topics such as the impact of blockchain, real estate portfolio management, technology’s impact on property management & leasing, fast & furious transaction, impact of 3D printing in real estate and the on-demand consumer. Subject matter experts delved into in-depth discussions and shared insights on the trends, challenges and opportunities that made the panel discussions extremely engaging and interactive as well. 

Dubizzle, Case3D, Yardi, Maisonette, Kaizen, Drooms, Blueground along with many others participated in the conference as sponsors, showcasing their cutting edge productions and solutions that is set to transform the property sector in the region. The two-day event was very well received by delegates and sponsors alike.
