4th Annual VIC Major Projects Conference 2012 13-14 November 2012, Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre, Melbourne, VIC
The 4th Annual Victorian Major Projects Conference , will be held on the 13-14 November 2012 at the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre. This event continues to be the largest major projects and infrastructure conference in the state, attracting over 250 delegates annually. Victoria accounts for only 3% of Australia’s land mass, yet is responsible for 24% of Australia’s economic activity. With an economy bigger than that of Singapore, Hong Kong and New Zealand. Underpinning such economic strength Victoria requires world class infrastructure that not only provides for today yet has the foresight to deliver a strategic vision to accommodate for the Victoria of tomorrow. This challenge is interwoven within a complex array of issues such as planning for more people, responding to climate change and competing in a global economy. All of which has to be balanced and harmonised in providing the standard of living and lifestyle opportunities which continues to make Victoria one of the most attractive destinations anywhere in the world to live, invest and conduct business. At the Victorian Major Projects Conference , you will hear from a diverse field of high profile speakers within the Public, Private and Voluntary sectors on what projects are in the pipeline, the latest research being undertaken to sustainably address the needs of an expanding population, learn of the innovations increasing the efficiency of the tender process and project delivery, as well as gaining an understanding how to effectively address integrated infrastructure solutions. The Victorian Major Projects Conference will further provide delegates the perfect opportunity to discuss topics and issues presented and provide a fantastic networking opportunity amongst your own contemporaries and related stakeholders within the industry. The conference room will be set up in cabaret style with a question and answer segment in place to encourage and enable delegates' opinions to be presented.
